Natasha Dadlani is a storyteller, digital marketer, and visual artist.
Her storytelling focuses on feminist narratives that de-center whiteness and use dark humor, supernatural elements, and a love of the macabre. She draws on personal experiences to bring authenticity to multi-hyphenate, femme protagonists navigating complicated romantic relationships and friendships.
Her one-hour femme-led drama, The Night Witches, dealing with trauma, revenge, and friendship was a quarterfinalist in the 2020 Screencraft Drama Competition and made it to the second round of the 2021 Sundance Episodic Lab. More information can be found here.
Natasha received her Associates of Science in Physics from Cabrillo College and then transferred to the University of California, Santa Cruz to continue studying math and physics. She soon realized she spent more time working on analysis for her John Carpenter film class than her Electricity and Magnetism problem sets. This led to her receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Film and Digital Media with a focus on screenwriting and critical race analysis.
Currently based in Miami, when she’s not writing or working her day job, she’s embroidering, exploring the Everglades, or doting on her three dogs.
Her photography can be found in Islandia Journal: Issue 8.
